Baxter Update

Well, there is never a dull moment at the Baxter's house. This week has be especially exciting. First, my dad fell at work and brok his elbow. Poor guy. Because workmans comp is involved, he cant get it fixed yet....so maybe next week.

The BEST news is that we welcomed a new baby in our home. Precott Michelle Baxter-Maynard was born April 19th. She is 18 inches long and 6 pounds 6 ounces. She sure is cute.

Monster Jam 2013

In March Chad, Cody, Grayson, and I went to Las Vegas for monster jam. It was a fun trip, but we had some hiccups as well:/  Our hotel room didn't work out so we had some tired boys and grown-ups walking around Vegas. Luckily I had a friend that let us go sleep at he house. Ugh, what an ordeal! Then we drove to St. George after monster jam and didn't get there until 3 AM. Not the best vacation for sleep. Oh, and I had a paper to work on every time we sat down. But, it was fun.

We have to get our faces painted. Grayson was a zombie. He was SO cute. He even pretended to be a zombie. Since there were not any people there, they had me get my face done. Cody got spider man and he LOVED it! Cody is really in to super heroes.

The very first thing we do when we go to monster trucks is RIDE THE MONSTER TRUCKS. It is SO fun! This year was probably the funnest ride we went on. There is one truck called 'Sargent Smash'. Last year he was fun..this year he was awesome. If I didn't have my seat belt...I would have died. It was awesome.

Michelle loves this picture of Gray.

This year Robosaurus was there again. He is pretty fun to watch. We saw him two years ago too. Chad was excited to have Cody see Robosaurus for the first time.

If you look closely, you can see "the Baxter Family' on the back of the truck. You sign your name on the  truck and then the truck gets run over by a monster truck.

Out of everything that monster jam has to offer, Traaxes is probably the coolest thing for Grayson and Chad. They could watch Traaxes forever! Grayson got this magazine and just wanted to look at it. He kept calling it his 'book'.  He would sit in the stroller and look at it. He still talks about it almost every day...so we now call it 'the T word' at our house. He is not allowed to talk about it.

There is a new truck this year....the Zombie Monster Truck. The set-up they had was AWESOME.  They had all these fake zombies that were super creepy and then zombie girls would take pictures with you. It was neat.

They have guys walking around in suites. This one is just a dog for the monster mutts. They also have ones with giant heads. So, we took pictures.

Grayson wanted to do this zip-line. So, I said if he paid for it, he could. He loved it! Cody wanted try it too, but he was too small. He was so sad. It broke my heart. So...we went and got ice cream.

I just thought the little El Torro Loco was funny. Haha.

This shows our seats. They were pretty good. Then, this picture shows that dad raced son...and son won.

The Swan Princess

There is a quote from the children's movie, The Swan Princess.  Derek has lost the love of his life. While trying to find her, he is asked why he loves Odete. He says something that it is because she is beautiful. His mentor says, "what else?". Derek replies with, "what else is there?" The mentor then says, "you should write a book, 'How to offend women in five syllabus or less'. Well, I know another way to offend a woman. I was offended. I don't remember the exact words, but a good way to offend a girl you have been dating since August is that you got another girl pregnant and she was going in a few days to get an abortion. This happened. My heart is broke. I feel used. I feel like a fool.

Monster Jam, SLC

MONSTER JAM, SLC 2013

Mohawk Warrior did an awesome job. His truck is pretty. He actually 'gave the shirt off his back" to the kid RIGHT next to us! The kid put it on and sat down and ate popcorn. Haha...he didn't even know what just happened!

I am not a big Grave Digger fan, but he did an awesome job at freestyle...and so he won. He is definitely a crowd favorite.

Um, yeah, that truck is basically standing straight up. McGruff won this competition Saturday afternoon and Saturday night and then gave his trophy away to a fan.

It is never fun when a truck breaks down. This truck broke down Saturday afternoon AND Saturday night. I don't really feel bad for the guy...don't judge.

Titan will be in the 'Young Guns' for the world finals. I like this truck:) Good luck in Vegas!

I don't know if I have ever seen El Torro Loco actually do the steam out the nose before...but it was awesome. Andy did a good job taking pictures so I could enjoy the show:)

Well, I mean, I might as well put my picture on here. Andy took it. I know I may not be the prettiest girl...but I like monster trucks!

First day of school, first day of school

I started school...again. This semester I am taking my English classes again. I am taking Medieval Lit, Modern British Lit, Modern English Grammars, and Exceptional Students. So far I have enjoyed school.  My Medieval teacher is kinda crazy. He told a story in Old English. It was crazy! He is very animated. My Modern Brit teacher seems nice. He has a different kind of word. I have no way how to describe it. My Exceptional Students teacher is nice...but serious. She started class by writing on the board right to left...and backwards in perfect cursive!  I guess she has dyslexia.  Then, my last teacher, she is a hoot plus one. You wouldn't think that grammar would be fun...but she makes it funny. She was teaching us about direct objectives. She started by telling a story how in the parking lot she cut me off and took the parking spot, so I got out of the car and 'Megan hit Linda'.  She brought the story up again today and said that "Megan could hit several people".  Then this boy asked 'Who is Megan?" So, now everyone thinks I am an abusive girl. Haha. Good times. Anyway, I am excited for this semester. I am taking 11 credit hours and working about 25-30 hours at work.

Brutus...dang dog

I took Brutus to his first dog park...this was about two minutes after we left. He sure was tired!

I mean, I don't even have any words to say here. Dang Dog.

This was Brutus' first snow. He sure liked it. He would run around and put his head in the snow. It was kinda funny to watch.

You cant really tell here, but he lifted his leg...ON THE SNOWMAN!!

Monster Trucks...surprise!

So...if you look on my phone...I have monster trucks and my dog. Hmmm...I should get a hobby or something. Anyway, these pictures were taken the first night of Monster Trucks at RMR. I took Grayson and Cody with me...and probably wont do that again!

These boys sure love Monster Trucks. They are SO lucky that their aunt takes them...because it is definitely not cheap! Especially when they want souvenirs and those are TEN dollars a piece!!

This show had TWO Big Foots. We don't get to see Big Foot very often. They sure have some good looking trucks:)

This race is between Big Foot and Bounty Hunter. Pretty sure Big Foot won.

Below is the race between Big Foot and Iron
Outlaw. It looks like a pretty even start...but Big Foot WINS.
