Baxter Update

Well, there is never a dull moment at the Baxter's house. This week has be especially exciting. First, my dad fell at work and brok his elbow. Poor guy. Because workmans comp is involved, he cant get it fixed yet....so maybe next week.

The BEST news is that we welcomed a new baby in our home. Precott Michelle Baxter-Maynard was born April 19th. She is 18 inches long and 6 pounds 6 ounces. She sure is cute.

Monster Jam 2013

In March Chad, Cody, Grayson, and I went to Las Vegas for monster jam. It was a fun trip, but we had some hiccups as well:/  Our hotel room didn't work out so we had some tired boys and grown-ups walking around Vegas. Luckily I had a friend that let us go sleep at he house. Ugh, what an ordeal! Then we drove to St. George after monster jam and didn't get there until 3 AM. Not the best vacation for sleep. Oh, and I had a paper to work on every time we sat down. But, it was fun.

We have to get our faces painted. Grayson was a zombie. He was SO cute. He even pretended to be a zombie. Since there were not any people there, they had me get my face done. Cody got spider man and he LOVED it! Cody is really in to super heroes.

The very first thing we do when we go to monster trucks is RIDE THE MONSTER TRUCKS. It is SO fun! This year was probably the funnest ride we went on. There is one truck called 'Sargent Smash'. Last year he was fun..this year he was awesome. If I didn't have my seat belt...I would have died. It was awesome.

Michelle loves this picture of Gray.

This year Robosaurus was there again. He is pretty fun to watch. We saw him two years ago too. Chad was excited to have Cody see Robosaurus for the first time.

If you look closely, you can see "the Baxter Family' on the back of the truck. You sign your name on the  truck and then the truck gets run over by a monster truck.

Out of everything that monster jam has to offer, Traaxes is probably the coolest thing for Grayson and Chad. They could watch Traaxes forever! Grayson got this magazine and just wanted to look at it. He kept calling it his 'book'.  He would sit in the stroller and look at it. He still talks about it almost every day...so we now call it 'the T word' at our house. He is not allowed to talk about it.

There is a new truck this year....the Zombie Monster Truck. The set-up they had was AWESOME.  They had all these fake zombies that were super creepy and then zombie girls would take pictures with you. It was neat.

They have guys walking around in suites. This one is just a dog for the monster mutts. They also have ones with giant heads. So, we took pictures.

Grayson wanted to do this zip-line. So, I said if he paid for it, he could. He loved it! Cody wanted try it too, but he was too small. He was so sad. It broke my heart. So...we went and got ice cream.

I just thought the little El Torro Loco was funny. Haha.

This shows our seats. They were pretty good. Then, this picture shows that dad raced son...and son won.
