I just like Monster Trucks

This last weekend was the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas. It was SO much fun. This year Michelle, Grayson, Chad, Cody, and I went. We drove down Thursday. We got to our hotel late. We stayed at Sams Town, We were all tired and frustrated, we couldn't find the hotel from the casino AND they didn't reserve us two beds like we asked. It wasn't an enjoyable first night...but it did get better. Friday Michelle woke everyone up really early. She was excited. We had breakfast and then headed over to Sam Boyd Stadium. We had to wait for 45 minutes for them to let us in because we were early...but so were HUNDREDS of other people. They said about 7500 people were going to be there on Friday and Saturday they were going to add 12000 more. So...it just goes to show you that monster trucks are cool after all:) Anyway, the first thing we did was ride the monster trucks. They are free on Friday, but cost $10 on Saturday. The line is usually long, so we rode them first:) We did some other activities that they had set up. We then ate lunch and after lunch we walked the track with MTB and his dad. It was about 3 pm this time and we hadn't even made it into see the drivers yet! There was so much to do!  Anyway, we met some drivers and then at five we went into the stadium to watch the qualifying races and the young guns shoot out. This would have normally been very enjoyable, but this girl behind us was pretty annoying. I wanted to punch her in the face. Oh well, it was a good show anyway. When it was over we went back to the hotel. Chad, Cody, MTB, his dad, and I watched a water show in our hotel that was pretty awesome. Then, we went to bed. Saturday was a calmer day. We went to breakfast with my uncle from PA that was there for a tournament. It was fun. He made the comment that even though we are family, we are strangers. This is very true. We only see him every few years...but that didn't stop him from telling me my cleavage looked like a plumbers crack, and then he asked if we parked the car there as well. Hmmm...awkward. After that, I took Cody upstairs and we took a nap and Michelle, Gray, and Chad went to the Bass Pro Shop. When they came back, we went to Sam Boyd Stadium. We met some other drivers, watched the parade, and of course watched the show:) It was pretty much amazing. I know most people don't care about monster trucks, so I won't say much but that they do back-flips, front-flips, ariels, and double back-flips. They also catch on fire and get stuck in storage containers. It was a pretty bad ass show. We got back to the hotel around mid-night. Michelle wanted to gamble and since we didn't know what we were doing, I asked MTB to come and so the three of us gambled. I took $16 and lost it. Ha ha..oh well. I learned how to play Black Jack and I liked it. That's pretty much the weekend in a nut shell. One more year:)

Chad and Cody got matching tattoos. Gray got a dinosaur and I got a the monster energy drink symbol. Once again...free on Friday:)

This is our crew. Chad and Cody. Michelle and Gray. And me with MTB taking the picture.

Everyone loved the green mo-hawks! There is actually a camera on them right here...so in May...they may be on the Speed Channel when they show the world finals.

On one of the monster truck rides, Gray got to sit in the front. The driver was very nice. In this picture, he took the steering wheel off the truck while we were going and asked Gray if he wanted to drive!

Chad and Cody riding the monster truck.
So, this year was a big year for Grave Digger fans because it was the 30th anniversary. We were eating our free lunch and this guy gave Gray this Grave Digger truck. This truck isn't your plastic truck, but metal and special tires. THEN they gave us two tickets to meet Grave Digger. Now, for most drivers you just stand in line, but with Grave Digger, there was a cap and once the cap was met, they gave tickets out to a certain amount of people to meet Grave Digger. Well...they gave us their tickets as well. They were nice guys.

I just saw this kids....I want one:)

Michelle and I standing in front of the Monster Energy Monster Truck. Our favorite:)

 Just let it happen.

 Don't judge.

This is probably my favorite picture. Cody LOVED watching the parade of monster trucks. It was a good time:)

Rose Guy

It occurred to me the other day that I haven't updated about the rose guy. So, here is a brief update. I told him that I didn't want to date him. I have been told guys don't get hints, so I told him flat out. He didn't really like that answer, so he still would text me and ask how school was, how work was, how the bus ride was, and other questions that sound stalkerish and that would annoy me the second I saw that he was texting me. Ugh, I was SO annoyed. Anyway, I told him strait up, but he kept asking me to do stuff. I thought I would be nice so we would go out as 'friends'. I paid for my own things and we just met at the location we were going to hang out at. Don't worry, this only happened a couple times because I just was done with him. So, I started to tell him I was busy. He then told me that if I wanted to, I would make time to hang out with him. Hmmm...interesting concept. Don't worry, this little conclusion he came to still didn't stop him from texting me ALL the time. So, I didn't text him back for a whole week! During this week, he would text me two or three times A DAY. Ok, so, he didn't get it when I told him. He didn't get it when he realized if I wanted to, I would make time for him, and now he wasn't getting it when I ignored his text messages for a whole week!  So, I finally gave in and text him back because I didn't want to seem like a B word. Anyway, long story short....I have not heard from him in a week or so now. I think he finally got it! Now I can concentrate on other things....like school and monster trucks:)

Bored

So, I am not really bored. This is however my fourth post today. We have family over right now for family dinner. I am pretending to do my homework...but I'm not. Hmm. Anyway, Cody is here and so I dressed him up in his monster truck outfit. I am SO EXCITED for monster trucks!!!  This week may feel like its taking forever!  So, the plan is as of now to leave Thursday night and spend the night in St George at my friends house.  Then, we will wake up early and drive the two hours to Vegas for double down! This seems to be a great week for Vegas because my friend Ben, my friend Michelle, and my Uncle Darrin and his wife will be in Vegas. I guess its the place to be. Ben will be there for his birthday...and will most likely be plastered the whole time. Michelle will be there for her daughters soccer tournament. And Darrin will be there for 20 days for a poker tournament. The only sad part is that MTB's grandpa is sick and so he may not go. He goes with his dad and since his dad's dad is sick, it might not happen. Sad day. I asked him what he would do if he couldn't go and he said he would put his head in a wall. Ha ha...not normal. So, I told him that if his dad doesn't want to go, but he still does, he could drive down with us. We are taking the mini-van and there is plenty of room. Anyway, we don't have a hotel or anything yet, but we will get that planned later. I just like monster trucks.
When you buy the double down package, everyone gets a shirt, a lanyard, a pin, and free things on Fridays events for monster trucks. We will also get the DVD and a poster:)  SO EXCITED!!!

Camera Phone

So, my phone takes awesome pictures. I like it.

This is Shelby and Me. We are friends.

Rodeo

So, Saturday night I went to the rodeo in Ogden. Calm down everyone, I know that it is March and still kind of winter, but the rodeo is indoor. I invited a girl I work with and then MTB came as well. He drove us in his awesome truck. He told me we were riding in 'style'. Anyway, the rodeo was fun. There are a lot more rules than I thought existed in rodeos. I laughed a lot.  Also, I may have misplaced my camera, so I took these pictures with my camera phone. They are not great quality, but they work. I just hope I can find my camera before monster truck world finals next week!!

Um, how cute is this? I just want to have a little cowboy!
They did this thing called a 'chicken run'. They had all the kids that were eight and under come and chase ONE chicken around the arena. It wasn't really fun to watch because it was mass chaos.
This is probably my least favorite. The cowboy ropes the calf, jumps off his horse and ties the calf. The horse walks backward to keep the rope tight. It breaks my heart....especially when the calf tried to get untied.
This little boy was distracting because he would just slide down the railing.
Our seats were pretty great. We were right where the bulls and broncos would come out. Plus, it was an awesome view of the cowboys:)

Spring Break?

Well, it was my Spring Break this week. All I can say is, 'where did this week go?'. I didn't do much. I pretty much just worked. This girl called in sick at my work, so I worked different hours. But, I still didn't do much. My life is pretty boring, but I am ok with that. Thursday night I went to dinner with my friends Jeff and Sabrina. I met Jeff because my mom wants me to have some friends that are a good influence on me. So, I went to Sabrina's house for dinner. Jeff pretty much made it all. It was delicious. All I had to do was bring some mint oreos. I was confused by this request because that was the first time I had ever been asked to bring mint oreos before. Well, there was a reason for this. Sabrina is a pharmacist up at the University of Utah hospital and someone asked her if she printed anything off. Well, Sabrina didn't, but this person asked if she wanted this recipe for mint oreo brownies anyway. She said sure. So, this is how I came to bring mint oreos to Sabrina's house. Its also the 100th year of Oreos as well.

I was also woken up on Friday morning by Madison. Michelle made me some St Patricks Day breakfast...in bed. It was delicious. I ate it and then fell back asleep since I didn't have to work until 11 that day:)

Spring Break!

Ok, so it wasn't really Spring Break for me, but we acted like it was:) So, the boys from Minnesota came out here for Alex's Spring Break. I took a week off of work for a little stay-cation and maybe didn't go to school either:/ It was a good week, filled with lots of adventure. I don't know how much I can tell you because 'What happens in Ramada Stays in Ramada'. There were many different sayings this week, and that was one of them. Bryan and Alex stayed in a Ramada hotel this week. Not a fancy hotel, but nice enough. Anyway, the first day here we went to The Gateway Mall and walked around, watched the fountain show, rode tracks, visited Temple Square, ate at Tucanos (which was their favorite) and had a 'bon-fire'.

This was our fire. The ground was wet and we didn't want to get muddy, so we went to Shelby's Grandmas and had a little fire. As we were leaving, her dad showed up and when Shelby asked him what he was doing, he said he was looking for his registration. Hmmm...not normal. Ha ha...he wasn't really though, but that is what he said. He came to check the fire.

This was when Shelby and Bryan first met. They had some car issues and came later than expected so Shelby and I waited for them in the hotel room. Shelby was nervous....and so was I. Bryan came in and turned on the TV. It was a good time.

The next day we went to the Great Salt Lake and the capitol. There were only a few things Alex wanted to do....and that was pretty much it. The Great Salt Lake was fun. We went to Saltair.  I also wanted to take them to Antelope Island, but that didn't work out so well. We also went to Keys on Main that night. The boys sang a song. They sing.

This picture quality isn't great, but that's ok because it makes it look creepy. Ha ha. Shelby was posing and Alex was throwing rocks into the lake. He looks like he is going to knock her out and eat her. When we got out of the car, Alex asked me if he could throw a rock in the lake. Not a random thing at all.

I put my feet in the lake. It was FREEZING!

Wednesday we went to see the movie The Lorax. It was cute. I fell asleep for a minute though because I was tired from playing so hard!  I think we all were though....which means it was a successful Spring Break?

Thursday I don't know what we did. In fact, after Tuesday, I don't know what order we did things. I think we went bowling...and I won:)  We also went to The Pie?  I don't even remember. (I bowled the 144) We also went to Habits for some Karaoke. Good times.

Friday we went to the Zoo. Those boys were such good sports!

This is only funny because I was wearing my 'Swamp People' shirt that says 'Choot Em'. Ha ha...classic

So, that was my week. On Saturday we had breakfast and said our goodbyes. It was a sad day. I guess we will see what the future holds for all of us. Shelby and I may or may not go back to Minnesota. We don't really know yet. It will be interesting to see what the boys plan for us. Its hard to plan a trip for someone in your hometown, but they said they had a good time...

I might as well

So, I am sitting here at school in the hall way. I am supposed to be doing a paper...but I am burnt out...so I don't want to finish it. Now, for those of you that know my dad, he raised us not to do things 'half assed', but I am. I didn't really read the article for it and I just kind of answered the questions, but at least I have something to hand in. Spring Break is in two weeks and I need it very much. I am just tired. Anyway, enough with the boring stuff. I do have a story that I thought was pretty funny. The other day I was sitting in the hall again actually doing homework and this couple came and sat down semi-close to me. Oh, before I get too far into this story, I think that people should just know that when they talk...other people can hear them. So, this couple sits down and the girl is complaining about her test, but she got a good grade so he is comforting her or something, I don't know. Anyway, they get up to leave and he says the her, "Wait, I need to bite your neck" AND THEN HE BITES HER NECK!!!! Is this normal? It was SO awkward! I mean, who does that? Oh, I know. Weird couples at UVU. Then, yesterday I was sitting in the hall once again doing homework and this creepy guy was talking to this young girl about being buzzed or drunk. I don't really know. And then started to talk about using drugs and getting high. The talked about prom and their families. I think I may have just been more annoyed that I wanted to do my homework, but I was distracted by their stupid conversation. Oh well. Anyway, the last conversation was last semester. I was walking behind to guys and this was the conversation.

"I asked her out, but she said no".
"Oh, well treat her like crap. Girls like it when guys are asses to them".

Hmmm. Interesting. I don't like being treated like crap. I just wanted to tap his arm and stand up for girls every where. We don't like being treated like trash...or at least I don't. Anyway, I was mad that this guy was getting some bad advice from his friend. Sometimes girls just don't like guys and its not because they are too nice...we just don't like them. For example, I don't like the rose guy AT ALL. However, when he texts me, I respond like a nice person. So, if he becomes as ass, I am not going to all of a sudden decide to like him. I am just not interested! Ugh...he just annoys me.

So, this post may not be very fun, but it is what it is. I have class in a few minutes and I am just tired. On a good note, MN will be here this weekend. That's pretty exciting!  I will for sure have stories for next week!
