Tennessee

This past weekend I went to Tennessee. It was SO much fun! I sure love going to the South. Its a different kind of world down there. Getting there was a little stressful though. My flight left Salt Lake at 3:40 pm. I landed in Chicago later that night. I am pretty sure I figured out where Hell is. Its the Chicago Airport.  I like to think I am a decent traveler, but I didn't do so well in that airport. When I got off the plane, I checked the flight board. I am pretty smart when it comes to this because I know that there are always gate changes...and sure enough...there was. I walked for probably 15 minutes to my new gate. On the way there, I walked thru a dark tunnel with these awful bright flashing lights. There is where I decided Hell must be. I sure hated it there! When I finally reached my gate and was all settled in, there was ANOTHER gate change! This makes #3. I went to the bathroom and when I returned back to the gate, the plane was being loaded, so I got in line. Oh...don't worry. That was the WRONG flight! I felt like a fool. The gate agent got on the intercom and mentioned my mis-hap and I was of course embarrassed.  THEN our flight was delayed because the toilet was broken on our plane. After an hour or so, they asked if we wanted to wait for the toilet to get fixed or just fly with a broken toilet.  We ended up flying and instead of getting in Nashville at 10, I got there at midnight! Then I had a three hour drive to Sweetwater. The drive was actually pretty nice. I ended up getting there around 4 am. I know, pretty awesome:/ While there, I visited with family, got a pedicure, went antiquing, to the flea market, and of course, the family reunion. It was a very much needed trip. I had a really great time and enjoyed spending time with my family that I see every few years:)

This is a picture of my Grandma and Grandpa Ott, my Uncle Darrin and his wife with their four kids, my Unckle Donnie and his wife, and my uncle Danny. My Great Grandma has a lot of kids...like seven or nine. This is just one of the kids (my grandma) and her family.

This is me and my Great Grandma Gillentine. She is 90 years old!

Every year they play a game called 'Corn Hole'. This year my Great Uncle won. Chris was the three year reigning champ. Here he is passing the trophy over. Don't worry, that is an ear of corn on there.

This was delicious food:) Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, beans, macaroni salad, and a peanut butter cup cup cake. DELICIOUS!

My mom, my cousin, and me at the Flea Market. Instead of saying 'cheese', we said 'howdy' and this lady said, 'ya'll talk weird'. Hmmm...no.

I know this picture is blurry, but its pretty awesome. My mom is wearing her Mitch and Glen shirt and I have my Choot Em shirt from Swamp People. Yeah...we like that.

BEST PEDICURE EVER! I loved getting this pedicure. It was my favorite...but I cant go there anymore since its in another state. Maybe I will just move down there:)

Hunter's Baby Blessin

Last Sunday we all went to Hunter's Baby Blessing. Everything turned out great. It was also a good time to get some family pictures in:)

This is my mom and dad with Hunter Chad. My dad doesn't seem to smile in picture. Hmmm...weird.

Grayson, KC, and Cody on the motorcycle. The boys are attempting 'peace' signs.

This is the Chad and Jeni Baxter Family. Chad, Jayci, Hunter, Cody, and Jeni. I think Cody looks so stink'n cute!

I sure love these boys! These are my monster truck pals. Cody with a fork...probably because he sees candy or cake and Grayson just being silly.

Grayson in his super awesome mo-hawk!

This is probably the best family picture that we have. Its hard to get a good picture with SO many people, but mostly with SO many kids!

I know things look crazy...but its because they are!  Memphis is doing her 'sassy' stance, Cody looks mean, and everyone is watching my mom walk over. hmmm...weird!

First Vet Visit

I took Brutus for his first (actually second) vet visit. He got his second round of shots and was looked over. He weighs about 12 pounds!  He is getting so big! He has an underbite. I was excited to hear this because then Brutus will look bad ass, but then I was informed that its not really a good thing. Woops. His knee also pops in and out. I wish someone would have told me that dogs are expensive too! I have put a lot of money in him and will have to continue to do so as well since he needs a chip and needs to get fixed!  Maybe I will get a second job to support my bulldog:)

Grayson went with me. He just took some pictures. This is the vet tech that also happens to be my friend Hannah. I called her the week before I got Brutus and she tried to talk me out of getting a bulldog. Woops, ha ha...I got one anyway:)

This is the Dr. I think her name is Beisinger...but Hannah called her Dr. B.

This is Brutus in the morning. He sure is a pretty dog. He is soft too:) He coat reminds me of a cow!

This was the first week I had him. I was too tired to stay outside and he had to stay on my lap. He fell right asleep!  On a side note, I am trying to fix my ear that may or may not be infected. Its better now though.

New Look

I love Brutus, but I still feel like my life is missing something. I need a change, but of course I am too scared to really make a big change...so I changed my hair!

My hair is now a dark brown with a red/purple tint with come blonde in the front. It looks pretty bad ass. My family always hates when I go dark so my brother said I look like a skunk and my dad keeps asking me where I left his daughter. Oh family.

Airport:)

Well, it has been a while since I have blogged. There are a few reasons for this. The first reason is that I don't spend time on my computer now because I don't have to.  When I was going to school, I always had my computer with me because I needed it. Now that school is out, I don't need my computer as much. The second reason is my life has gotten slightly boring now that I have Brutus. We wake up between six and seven everyday. I take him out to go 'potty' and to eat. We play until he poops and then I take him inside so I can get ready for work. I work and then I come home and and feed Brutus and then we just sit outside. Brutus is not allowed in the house...or more so the upstairs. My dad doesn't want him to poop on the carpet. So, we are either in the basement or outside. The plus side to this is I have a pretty great natural tan now:) Anyway, the reason I am blogging now is because I am at the airport:) This weekend is the Gillentine annual family reunion in Sweetwater, TN. I  took Friday off of work and was planning on flying out Thursday night...but that dang flight filled up and so I wouldn't be able to fly out on standby! I looked at other options. One was to trade shifts with someone, work Thursday until two and then drive to Vegas and fly from Vegas to Boston to Charlotte and then drive FIVE hours to TN. That wasn't looking like a good option anymore so my awesome co-workers all pitched in and I was able to get Thursday off as well! I was pretty excited.  So, I turned once again to Priceline:)  I found a flight from St. George to Nashville for under $400 PLUS a car....BUT I would have two lay overs and wouldn't get to TN until the next day. So, I kept looking and finally broke down and bid for my flight. I was able to get a flight for around $400. I leave SLC at 4 PM and then I will have one lay over in Chicago and then fly to Nashville where I only have to drive a few hours to Sweetwater. This trip now gives me two full days with my family.  This reunion is more important than the one previous because it is also my Great Grandma's 90th birthday and my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. So, this will be an expensive trip, but it will be well worth it:)
