Bank Robbery

Well, I should be doing homework...but I don't want to. Oh well. Anyway, my mom invited Chad and Jeni over so Chad could tell us about his experience this weekend at the bank. My mom thought it would be fun to decorate and have everyone dress up. It was cute. The house looked cute, the dinner was good, and of course the company was great!  I really lucked out with a family. We may have our troubles, but we all get a long pretty great.

This was the table. There are paper bags with $ on it and real and fake money.
 KC and Tanya. Oh, cute.
This is most of the gang....but not everyone. KC and Tanya, Mom and Dad, Scott, Michelle and kids, and Chad with Jayci. Christian, Casey, Jeni, and Cody are not in this picture...oh, and me!
Michelle and some of her kids.

Monster Trucks, ESA

So, most of you know, it was Monster Jam Weekend for me at the Energy Solutions Arena. Well, there were ups and downs, but overall, it was a GREAT show. I am definitely excited for Double Down in Las Vegas!!!

Friday Night:  Well, it started out to look like it would be a great night. I got off work early and so I wouldn't feel rushed to get to Salt Lake. Well, of course my excitement ended when I got a text from my brother Chad that said, "I was just at a bank robbery". Hmm, normal. Well, as it turns out, he really was. He went to a bank..actually a credit union...and as he was walking in, he opened the door for the person coming out and it was a guy in a mask...and he had just robbed the credit Union. So, my smart brother wrote down all the information he could, but since he was a witness, he had to stay and talk to the police.   Chad said that when he parked his truck, he parked crooked, but then decided to fix his parking job. If he hadn't, he probably would have been inside the credit union when it happened. That is a scary thought, but he is ok. Anyway, so Chad, Grayson, and Cody, and I went to Salt Lake to see monster trucks. Gray was so cute, and Cody of course loved it! He didn't say much during the show, but you know he loved it!  The show was good. Nothing too exciting happened.

 Greyson, Cody, and Chad
Cody just stood there the whole time watching. So cute!
Here are all the trucks. Maverick Monster Trakker, The Felon, Max D, Grave Digger, Titan (aka Mr Wow), Wolverine, Northern Nightmare, and the incinerator. Pretty awesome trucks.
This was me attempting to get a picture of me with the kids.
This was probably the most exciting thing Friday Night. Grave Digger hit the cars wrong and went into the wall. He was disqualified from this event.
So, many of you have asked to see a picture of my 'monster truck boyfriend', well, here it is. Ha ha...I feel like such a stalker!!  He told me where he was sitting, so I just saw him. He is in the front row sitting by the stairs. However, he knew I saw him though because he ended up being on the jumbo tron later that night.
Chad and Cody with Grave Digger in the back ground. We obviously didn't have great seats...but that's ok. I had a good time. It smelled great and sounded great. My ears tickled a little.

Saturday afternoon:  So, this first part of the story has to do with a later part of the story. I wanted my sister to come to the make up store with me and so by the time we left, things were stressful. Her kids didn't really want to go, but they had too. They were hungry and crying and it was just crazy. Anyway, 'monster truck boyfriend' asked me if I wanted to go to the Pit Party with him. I said I would, but that I was out and about, so I would meet him. We decided I would meet him at the trax off 7200 S. So, I hurried to do my makeup shopping and then my sister dropped me off. So, we rode up to Salt Lake in his awesome truck and talked about the night before monster truck show. When we got to Salt Lake, we got out of the truck and this little boy looked at 'monster truck boyfriend' and said, 'look mom, its the Grave Digger driver'. It was SO cute! Ha ha...he is always getting comments about his shirts. Now, he thinks his shirt is pretty rare, but I told him that I had seen them before, so its not that cool. Well, we had a bet. We at first bet $10. I bet that I would find someone with that shirt and he said that I wouldn't. Well, I didn't see one...so now I owe him $10 PLUS we added some to it. We also have to go to Texas Road House AND out somewhere else and I have to wear monster truck gear.  Yeah...it may be embarrassing. I like monster trucks a lot...but I don't ever wear monster truck gear. Well, it looks like I have to now. Anyway, the show was fun. It was me, monster truck boyfriend, and his four friends. I liked it.

This truck was pretty awesome. I will probably start watching this one.

Just some Chevy's:)  The yellow truck was hit several times by other monster trucks as they turned to hit the big jump.

Saturday Night: I went with my friends Joe and Emilio. I was stressed because we got there late. Actually, that is a lie. We got there on time...THEY started early. I was very frustrated...but I had to tell myself that it was ok because I had already seen this show two times. Ha ha...I am just that cool. But really, its not the same show. I had a different experience at each show and in each seat. I'm just saying. Anyway, it was fun. It was by far the best of all three of the shows. During the intermission, I went looking for that stupid shirt my monster truck boyfriend wears and I ran into monster truck boyfriend. We talked for a minute, and then I had to go because I was on a mission. Well, then I ran into my cousins husband. We talked for a bit and then monster truck boyfriend walked by and I felt super awkward. So, when I saw him for the third time during intermission, I told him that was my cousin and he was going to help me look for that shirt...and he did. Thanks Nick!! Oh, and I am pretty sure monster truck boyfriend (I think I may refer to him as (MTB) was there by himself. Now, he is a true fan. Anyway, the show was great!

Max D put on an awesome freestyle show. He went on his side, then flipped to the nose, sat there for a few seconds before he fell. It was pretty great.

Well, now, since my sister dropped me off to meet MTB, I needed a way to get home. I planned on taking the train to Daybreak and then I would be close to my house and my sister said she would pick me up. So, I got close and I text her to make sure she was coming and I was told she was. It was late and I was tired and thirsty and I knew she was probably tired because she goes to bed at 9:30. So, she sent me a text saying 6400. Now, this could mean two things. We live on 6000 West, so I thought she was there, but to come to find out, she met 6400 S...which is NO WHERE CLOSE TO WHERE I WAS. Well, my phone was dying so I called her. She said she was where she dropped me off at...which is really 7200 S. I felt SO bad. I was pretty sure I told her to pick me up in Day Break...which is right next to our house...so it would only make sense. She played a sob story saying that she was tired and had a headache and wasn't thinking. I was pissed because it was late and I was tired. So, she told me I would be there in 15 min. I told her I would try to call my brother and see if he would come and get me. I called him three times and he didn't answer. What a little shit. Anyway, I told my sister I would stand on the corner of the street waiting for her. I hoped my phone didn't die because then I would be screwed. Well, everyone, calm down. My sister WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME!!! She thought she would play a trick on me. However, she didn't was looking for me in what I left in, but Joe gave me a coat to wear, so she didn't see me get off the train. She figured something was wrong when she saw two other trains come and go. So, I sat on the corner of the street in the dark with a dying phone. She asked me how I didn't see her and my response was, 'why would I look for your car if you told me you were not even here". That makes sense to me. Anyway, all is well. I am now in my warm bed at my house and I had an awesome monster truck weekend:)

Busy, Busy, Busy

I should be doing homework right now...but I am homework burned out:(  Ugh.  So, instead I am going to tell everyone about the busy weeks I have coming up. I am very excited and I hope that everything works out!  So, lets begin.

1. This week: Monster Trucks!  That's right. They are here!  This will be Grave Diggers 30th anniversary so it's a pretty big deal. I will be going on Friday night with my brother Chad, his son Cody, and Gray. It will be SO fun. Then, on Saturday I am going with monster truck boyfriend and some of his friends, and then Saturday night with some other guys. So, it will be a busy weekend full of monster truck goodness!  Other trucks that will be there are: Grave Digger® driven by Rod Schmidt, Maximum Destruction® driven by Kreg Christensen, Maverick driven by Ron Duncombe, The Felon driven by Mark Schroeder, Titan driven by Donald Epindendio, Incinerator driven by Ryan Rice, Northern Nightmare driven by Cam McQueen, and Wolverine driven by Alex Blackwell.

2. The second week is mid-terms...so I will be busy with those. Ugh, sometimes I just hate school. One mid-term is a take home which will be nice. Then two are in class, and I don't think I have one for my fourth class, but I will check.

3. Then, the next week some boys from MN are coming out. Now, you may be asking why this is the first time you are hearing about these boys. Well, its because one of them reads my blog. Now, I don't normally tell boys about my blog because most of the time I talk trash about them...or whatever. Anyway, he found out one time because I googled his name, found something out, asked him about it and when he asked me how I found out...I told him I was blogging and remembered how I googled on guys name, so I thought I would google him. Very innocent thing. Anyway, he reads my blog so I felt weird writing about him, but here it is. Now, you may also be asking where this kid came from. The answer is simple. My friend met his friend online and then they decided that they should meet. He didn't want to come alone, so he is bringing a friend and so his friend needed a friend for when they come out here. So, MN (this will be his name) is my friends friend friend. Ha ha, awesome. Anyway, I took the week off of work...but will still have school. So, that should hopefully be a fun week. We don't have much planned yet, but I am sure whatever it is, it will be fun. Anyway, MN makes me smile. I told him I was 'smitten' with him...and he kind of mocked me for it...but not really. Hmmm.

4. The next week is my spring break. I will most likely be doing homework and working at the bank extra hours. I don't really know though since its a few weeks away.

5. And then for probably one of the best weeks to come....THE WORLD FINALS FOR MONSTER TRUCKS!! I am pretty excited about this adventure. My sister Michelle, brother Chad, Cody, Gray, and I am going. We will drive down and spend TWO whole days in Vegas meeting the drivers, riding trucks, walking the track, and enjoying some good ol monster truck time!  Chad is coming this year. I just am excited and I know it will be fun. Oh, and monster truck boyfriend will be there too with his dad. Oh, I am excited!!!

So, as you can see, the next few weeks are going to be busy, but filled with some fun and adventure!  Yay!!!

Boy Bands

So, I am sitting at a friends house in St. George Utah and I decided I wanted to listen to some music. I got on my trusted computer and got on YouTube. I usually listen to some country stuff....but this time I thought I would listen to 'Nsync. That opened a whole can of worms. Ha ha. I miss boy bands! I remembered the first time I heard 'Nsync. I was down in my room cleaning and I heard 'I Want You Back' and I thought is was New Kids On The Block coming back and I was SO excited...and then my radio turned off! I hurried to the radio freaking out, but luckily it turned back on. Silly radio turns off every hour. Anyway, my YouTube adventure started with 'Nsync and moved on to LFO, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, 98 degrees, 5ive, and probably my favorite, O-Town. I used to be so cool and knew everything about these guys. I knew what tooth paste they used, favorite color, and other really useless facts, but at the time, very important. I even flew out one time to Pennsylvania for free to see O-Town. I owned DVDs, cds, and my room was covered in posters! Some days, I would re-arrange my posters. I spent all my money buying little teenage girl magazines. I still have many of them in a box of remeberance things I am keeping to show my little chitlins on day so they will know some good quality music (and maybe how cool their mom was). I don't think I have all my cds still, so its possible that I may do some shopping on ebay this weekend:) I remember when I was younger, there was a tv station called 'The Box' on channel 58. It didn't matter that we didn't have cable, we still had access to The Box. I would watch this station whenever I could. This station just played music videos, but people would have to call in and request a song. I would beg and plead for my parents to let to call in and request a song. Sometimes they said yes, but most of the time they said no. When they did say yes though, I was very excited. However, I think it was rigged because it wouldn't ever play what I requested:( I would get pissed, but then as I continued to watch The Box, I would watch people order the videos I loved and waited patiently until they came on. Now, all I have to do is turn my computer on or watch them on my new trusted smart phone:)  So great! This is one enjoyable memory lane trip:)

Deleted Number?

So, I have to tell you, once I decided to just not date, my sister told me that all these people would come out of the wood works....and she was right! Awesome. So, anyway, the other day I got a text from a number I didn't know. I am notorious for deleted people's numbers if I don't talk to them anymore or if they make me angry. Now, deleting these numbers for the most part always come back and bite me in the butt. Anyway, last week I went through and deleted numbers from e-harmony because I am done dating. Well, I got a text and since I didn't know who it was, I just started texting back like I knew who it was. I hoped it was this one guy named Russ, but as the conversation kept going, I realized it was my ex-boyfriend. Now, a little about him. We met on a dating website and as it turned out, he was friends with my friends and we had even been at some social gathering before together, but we didn't interact as such events. Anyway, we dated for a little bit and had a good time. We decided to be boyfriend/girlfriend and that lasted for about a month. We don't really know why it ended, it just did. He was my only boyfriend I have ever had. Anyway, this was about two years ago or so. He is now married. So, he asked me how my dating life was, and my first thought was maybe he got a divorce and was looking to date again...which I wouldn't. I told him I wasn't dating anyone and that I tried some dating sites and such. Well, then he sent me this text, "I have a brother in law who needs a great women like you. I can set you up with him". Is this normal? Do ex-boyfriends try to set up their ex-girlfriends with their wife's brother? Well, in my case, they do. So, I guess we will see what happens here...but I doubt anything will come of it. Ha ha, such is my life.

Valentines Day

So, I should be doing homework right now since I am a little behind, but I don't want to. So, I will talk about Valentines:)  So, it was a good day. I went to work. I had several people wish me a 'Happy Valentines Day'. I wasn't depressed or annoyed that I am single. It was a good day. I had a good attitude, and I was glad I didn't have to worry about getting flowers from anyone...aka Rose Guy from previous posts. Also, on a side note, the last few years I did get roses and they were not great. Well, the flowers were great, but the stories behind them sucked. One was from a guy I had been dating on and off. Well, when I called him to thank him for the flowers, he was so drunk he didn't remember that I called him so he thought I hated him and then there was all this drama. Don't worry, its all settled now. The other time I got flowers, I was in a locked building for my work and a guy that was in prison (I didn't know at the time...long story) sent his friend to bring them to me. It was nice, but I guess the more drama part was that the drunk from the previous story sent me flowers the year before so I felt like a 'b' word for getting flowers sent from another guy.Wow, this side note may be confusing and off track, but it is what it is. Anyway, after work, I went to school. I had my drama class where we compared the writings of Hamlet to this other play that I can't remember right now, but they are minor characters in Hamlet. And then off to my second class of the day...advanced writing for English majors. Well, one girl brought cup cakes and another girl brought pizza. Our teacher said it was like a group date. Hmmm...awkward. Anyway, class was good. After that I drove up to Salt Lake. Well, actually it was Murray. I stopped by my Grandma Baxter's for a minute. My 'monster truck boyfriend' invited me to his house to watch the 2011 world finals dvd. Now, just so everyone can calm down, he did offer to come an pick me up, but he has never been to my house, and I was on the freeway from Orem anyway, so I just drove to his house. He is so cute, ha ha. He is growing a beard. It looks good on him. He also just finished building a chair. Now, this isn't any normal chair. This is a chair that he bought a wood permit for, went and chopped the wood down, then cut it, stained it, and built a chair. I know, totally normal. So, we talked and watched monster trucks. He showed me some awesome videos. I left his house around 11 and came home and went to bed. Now for those of you wondering, we didn't kiss, snuggle, or hold hands. I guess that no one really needs to know this, but for some reason my dad thinks I am some kind of 'hooch', so I just want to clarify that I didn't do anything that would be 'hooch' worthy. Anyway, it was a good day.  I am excited for monster trucks next weekend. I am taking Grey and Cody on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon I am going with my monster truck boyfriend, and Saturday night I am going with Joe and Emilio. It should be quit the eventful weekend:)

Am I a hag?

Am I a hag? I don't know. People will tell you I am far from that...but if they really knew what I was thinking, they may change their minds about me. When I was growing up, I used to tell people my goal was to be an old spinster hag. (I am well on my way) However, I would not own animals because I don't really like animals, and by animals, I mean cats. I may have a pig or two. Anyway, back to the point of me being a hag. Now, this was all brought upon by an episode of Grey's Anatomy. I started watching it on NetFlix, and am normally too busy to watch it...but I needed a break yesterday. Instead of going over the whole conversation, I will just tell you the part that made me want to shout Hallelujah. One doctor said to the other doctor, 'if you have to ask for a compliment, its not a compliment'. This made me think of some previous thoughts and feelings I have had over the years. Here is just one example of my haggness. One time a long time ago, I was in the MTC. There I had a companion (not as in a lesbian companion, but as in we had to work together and that is what you called each other) that kept saying saying how ugly she was and how the boys liked me more and I was prettier and a better teacher. Now, to most people, they would take this as a compliment, but I didn't. I felt like she wanted me to boost her self-esteem up. Well, one day we were in class and she said she was ugly, so I looked at her and said, "do you really think you are ugly or are you fishing for compliments?" True story. As it turns out, she had depression. Woops. Anyway, I don't like when people are down on themselves and expect other people to tell them contrary to what they said. (I don't know if that sentence makes sense....so just let it happen) So, if you are feeling down or negative, don't come to me. I won't try to build you up or give you a compliment to make you feel better. Grey's re-enforced this belief of mine. I probably wont tell you to your face that its not a compliment if you ask for it...but I will think it in my head.

Dating Update

Ok, so I have two stories for my dating update. Update number one. I finally told the 'rose guy' that I wasn't interested. And when I said I wasn't interested, what I told him was that I didn't see us getting married (not that it got to that point, but I mean, if I wasn't feeling it, I wasn't feeling it). I also told him I didn't think it was right of me to know this and then have him spend money on me this week. He wanted to bring me roses for Valentines and take me out somewhere special. Now, that is nice, but I don't like people spending money on me in the first place, but especially if I knew I didn't have feelings for them. Anyway, he said he didn't like 'breaking up', but there isn't really anything he could do to respect my wishes.  Update two. Now, I don't know if I have blogged before about my dad giving my phone number out before or not...but he does!  I guess I should be great full. Anyway, this kid Cody called me a few weeks ago and we had a 'date' scheduled. I was a little nervous because he is 22 and I am 26. Sometimes I just feel like an old hag. Anyway, he ended up not calling me to solidify plans and I was ok with that. Well, the other night my dad came home and said I would be mad, but he went to this kids place of employment and he wasn't there. So, my dad left his card with my number on it and also gave my number to his brother and grandma. I know, my dad is pretty awesome (not sure if this should be a sarcastic comment or not...yet). Anyway, he text me yesterday and asked if I wanted to go out. So, as you know from a previous post, I decided I was done dating...and then here comes a new dating opportunity! We went to a really good Brazilian place in Salt Lake, and it being Valentines Weekend, there were roses, candles, and red table cloths. Kind of awkward for a first date, but it is what it is. Anyway, I found him pretty attractive, but lets face it...it probably won't work. And no, I am not being a pessimist here. It wasn't an awkward date, but at the same time it was. Anyway, we talked about monster trucks and I told them they were coming and he said he would like to go. I may or may not invite him for the Friday night show, but if I do and he says yes....you will hear about it:)

Car Problems? Don't complain to the Baxters!

So, as many of you know, our house is occupied by many people. Well, of these people, we have five cars. In the last month, my mom's transmission went out on her car, KC's car caught on fire while it was at the car shop getting fixed, my car needs a new air filter that is a couple hundred dollars, and this weekend my dad's truck was broken into while he was at the Jazz game in Salt Lake. These not nice people took my dad's TomTom (GPS), his new camera we bought him for Christmas AND his new cell phone.  Well...I guess when it rains, it pours.

Just Because

I just want everyone to know that today a new girl at my work thought I was 20 years old! Ha ha...bless her heart. As many of you know, I am not 20 years old, but 26...almost 27. Ha ha...awesome. Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that to some people...I appear young:)

F my life!

Ha ha...do you want to know the day I had? You know what, not even the day....but the night. And not even the night...but one hour of tonight! Ugh, I hate everything. Ok, so the first thing was this guy that I have been dating wanted to see me today. I told him it would be hard because I can't really stop at work and talk to him and then I take the bus to school RIGHT when I get off. So, he offered to pick me up from school. Ok, thats fine. Well, he picked me up and we drove to my car.  Ugh. HE JUST ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the same guy that I was going to call it off with from a previous post. I am pissed. What do I do?  I guess honesty is the best policy. But really, today my friend Shelby and I devised a plan to run away. We are going to a remote hick town either in Idaho or Montana where cell phone service is unavailable. There I would clean and cook and she would take care of cows and kids. We are changing our hair color and our names. I of course, cannot tell what are new names will be just in case anyone tries to track us down. Anyway, that idea sounds pretty tempting right now. So, if no one hears from me...that's what happened. I am in the middle of no where living in solitude with my friend on a farm. BUT wait, the night does get better. I had someone else just ask me to carry their child. Haha, I know, totally normal, right? He wants a son really bad and he wants me to carry it for him. He cant get a girl pregnant, so we would do it the medical way. I told him that we can re-visit this possibility in a year from now. I would move into his house in the master room. We would obviously share a child together. He told me though that when I started to date, he would have to approve the guys I date since they will be hanging out with our son. Ha ha....awesome. BEST NIGHT EVER!!!! Am I too young for a mid-life crises? I think I may just have one.

BEST SISTER EVER!!

I just want to take a minute to tell everyone how great my sister is.

Not only did she have a nice warm dinner ready for me when I came home today...but she bought me some SPAGHETTIOS! Now, if you read my previous post, you will know that I was craving them. Now, I can eat them:)

Pirate Party

So, my mom likes to throw parties. On of our parties was a pirate party shrimp boil. I was trying to find one picture in particular, but I couldn't. Anyway, I don't like shrimp boils, but its fun to dress up and have a good time. We all had bandannas and eye patches. Some had swords and an ear ring.
My Aunt Karen had a fun time at our Pirate Party. She went around killing all of us.
This is my dad and my aunt. Oh, that's fun.
My mom asked me and my sister to dress like Pirate Wenches. I think I pulled it off pretty good. This is a more classy photo....also known as less cleavage! Ba ha. When I came upstairs, my sister went and changed because she wanted to be more 'slutty'. Hmmm...normal?
This is Grayson. He is my favorite. Ba ha, what a cute little pirate!

The End

So, I have thought a lot about dating lately. Ok, more than lately, but like the last 20 years of my life.  Anyway, I decided that I am done. I am going to cancel my membership on e-harmony. That website has not produced anything good for me. I have talked to a few guys and had a few dates, but nothing promising. I went on a date last night with the 'rose guy' I met on e harmony. I am not sure how to tell him I am not interested. My goal was to tell him last night that I didn't want to date anymore, but I was too nervous!  So, because I didn't want to tell him, I wasn't very nice to him. Now, it wasn't that I was mean, but I wasn't as nice as I should have been hoping that he wouldn't like me. Ugh, not the case. So, I will tell him later this week that I don't think we should date and I will cancel my e harmony membership. I will go back to the way its supposed to be...have a guy ask me out in person. Now, this way has not worked for me before and so I don't see it working for me in the future, but it is what it is.

I also found out that I have to get work done on my car that will cost me about $500!  With my car, it has a life time air filter. Now, most people just get these changed for $40 or so. Well, when it says lifetime, it really means about 100,000 miles. My car is at about 73,000 miles. I normally take my car in to my aunts shop to get my regular oil change. My aunt told me I needed to take it to the dealer because the air filter is in a sealed location. When I went to the dealership, the guy told me that I was nuts because they should be able to change it when the oil gets changed. Then...ten minutes later, he came over and said that just the part for my car is $200 and then I have to add labor on top of that. He told me to come back in 17,000 miles. So, the nice part on this was that he said it didn't need to be done then. Awesome.

On a brighter note, monster trucks will be here in a few days. I am excited for that. I have a bet with my 'monster truck boyfriend' that he will not be the only one wearing a special Grave Digger shirt. So, I may be ten dollars richer:) That will start my fund for my new air filter.  I also want some speghettios. Those sound really good right now.

Happy Groundhogs Day!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Groundhogs Day! For those of you that don't know, my mom was raised in Big Run, PA. This is about a five minute drive from Punxsutawney, home of the Punxsutawney Phil, AKA....the GROUNDHOG!! Here are some pictures from when I went out there a few years ago.
