Lucky Day My Eye

Three months ago I had a work meeting and at that meeting we ate Chinese Food. Fortune cookies happen to be a Chinese food staple. My fortune cookie that night told me that in three months I would have a lucky day. What a whole bunch of bull!!! I was going to go to California with my friend Bubba, but the flights were too full. So, I stayed home and ugh...crap just happened ALL day! I just hated it. So, it was not a lucky day....it was a shitty day. I am not going to go into any details on here because they are not something that needs to be blogged about.

On a side note. My manager played a mean joke on me! Today I had a message from her on my phone. She said that I needed to call her as soon as I could because my school called my work.  Normal? Not really. So I called back freaking out and my manager said one of my teachers called and said I only turned in eight pages of a ten page paper and my teacher was pissed! I asked my manager who it was and she said it was a man. I was confused because its true, I did only turn in eight pages of a ten page paper...but that was for a girl teacher. Then I thought of my 1000 word essay plus the three four page papers that I didn't make four pages and I thought maybe it was that teacher. I was SO confused...turns out...she was teasing me. She just wanted to change my schedule. Ha ha...she got me!

I also have an update on the Rose Guy. So...growing up, girls are told not to lead guys on. So, I told him up front I was not interested. That didn't work...so I ignored him hoping he would get the hint. He didn't get the hint. Well, he has been texting me again. I just don't know what to do. Its hard because I do want someone to like me and he does...but I don't like him. I just need a prince charming to come and sweep me off my feet....I am ready!!

Homework?

So...I am blogging and that means I should be doing homework...again. Well, classes ended this last week. That is right...the semester is over! Well, almost. I still have my finals. And when I say finals, I mean, I still have one 12 page paper. One 10 page paper. 3 4 page papers, and one 1000 word essay due! I think normal classes would have been easier where you just study for a test and then just take a test. This may be something I consider next time I decided to go to school. Anyway, I have Wed off next week and so if I can finish all my papers by then...this girl is going to Disneyland!  That is right. I am taking myself and maybe a friend to Disneyland to celebrate the end of the semester! I am pretty excited and I hope that it all works out:)  And then next month I will be going to MN. I think I should just be a professional traveler:)

Guess What?

Well...I am supposed to be doing homework again. Ha ha...story of my life. I am SO excited that school will be done!  This semester has been rough for sure. I am supposed to be writing a ten page paper right now.  I have six pages though, so that's not too bad. I think I will just wake up extra early and work on it. Tomorrow I have to do 4 annotated bibliography's and then I have to re-write three four page papers for Thursday! Ugh, school is killing me. However, once these assignments are complete, I will only have two more ten page papers to write (but I have a lot of the information needed for them complete) and then one 1000 word essay. I have decided that I don't want to continue school at this time. However, I change my mind a lot, so who knows. My new goal is to just work my way up at work. I think the next step will to be a customer service manager (csm). I had that opportunity once before, but I didn't take it so that I could go back to school. Well, school hasn't really gotten me anywhere. Anyway, I will just take the summer off and see how I feel in the fall. A lot can change in four months.

Also, Jeni is going to have her baby soon:) That means that I will be an aunt...again. Tonight I took all the kids to get ice cream...makes me glad  I am not a mom. I had six kids with me from ages 8-2. They sure are loud in a small space. Oh well, I get to be the fun aunt:) Well, I should probably get back to my paper....

The Deaf Man

He is NOT dead! Haha...so I was sitting in the hallway at school waiting for my class to start and I heard some strange but familiar yelling. Sure enough, it was him. I'm glad I didn't kill him and he appears to be alive and well!!

Just some random things

Once again, I should be doing my homework. It seems as though I blog more when I am supposed to be doing my homework. I have one week of school left and three 10 page papers due and one 1000 word essay. I hate school. I don't want to go back in the fall. This girl that is in one of my classes said that we should move out together and she would motivate me to want to do school in the fall. If I do school in the fall, I won't do full time again. That has been too hard. I just don't have the time. Anyway, enough with that.

There is a lady that I work with that sometimes drives this car to work. She knows that I LOVE this car, so she let me drive it. It made me nervous, so I drove it very little and not fast...but I enjoyed every minute of it:)

I found this little monster shot at a gas station in Mesquite Nevada. I just had to buy it. I mean, it is too cute. Anyway, I gave up Monster Energy Drinks and Dr. Pepper. I have been off them for about a month now. Its going pretty good. I only had one withdrawal day...and it sucked. I now mainly drink water, but if I need a treat, I will drink a Slurpee or an icee. I know they are probably not the best things to drink, but those are better than my caffeine drinks.

Trip to Minnesota

Last weekend, Easter weekend, I went to Minnesota. I left my house at 4 am to get to the airport by 6.  I had a layover in Denver and then a short flight to Minneapolis. Alex picked me up at the airport later that day. It was raining, but it only rained that first morning. Other than that, the weather was pretty great. So, we drove until we found a Subway to eat at. Saturday was a pretty easy day. We pretty much watched movies all day and its possible that I took a nap. I don't remember. That night Alex bought $40 worth of mozzarella sticks. Ha ha..not really normal, but that's ok. Then Sunday (Easter) we went to the Mall of America. We checked online and it opened at 11...so we arrived there shortly after that. Well, the stores were not open:( The amusement park and some food court places were open though...and of course, there were other people. So, we just walked around the mall, did some people watching, played at the arcade, ate some food, and Alex made two wishes at two different wishing wells. I really think that is all we did there. So, once we left there, we didn't really know what to do. The mall was a bust and since Alex is not from Minneapolis, he didn't know what to do either. Well, luckily my trusty phone did:) I googled 'things to do in Minneapolis' and we picked a few things on that list, We went to a park full of art. Some of it I could see that it was art...other things, not so much. It was fun anyway though. There was a lot to see and the day was nice. After that, we went to a place about a stone bridge. It was on the banks of the Mississippi river. That's right, the Mississippi river starts in Minnesota. We talked to an old couple there and watched a girls dad put his daughters head in the dirt. I think after that, we left and watched some more movies. It was a good day. The next morning was Monday and that was when I was going to leave. I was sad. Anyway, we were both excited to see the Pirate Museum put on by the History Channel...but...it was closed. We were both sad...but we found other things to do. We went to St. Paul and went to the capital. We walked around and Alex taught me about some government stuff that I as an American citizen should know, but I don't. We walked in some underground tunnels to another state building. After that we went to a place called Ft. Snelling (I think that is its name).Once again, it was closed, so we walked around and read some of the plaques. We learned that Ft. Snelling is known for the largest mass execution in the US. Maybe not something to be proud of, but its part of the history. Anyway, Ft. Snelling is located on the banks of the Mississippi, so we walked down the the river and skipped some rocks and Alex picked me up some sea shells. He told me that they were my souvenirs and to make them into a necklace. When we were finished there, we headed off to the airport. We ate and sat there until I needed to get on the plane. I told Alex I would possibly cry and he told me not to. So, I listened...until I was out of security and the flood of tears came. I am glad I had my glasses because they helped to cover up my face. Ha ha...I was a mess. If I saw someone else like that at the airport, I would probably make fun of them...so I am sure people made fun of me. Oh well. Anyway, I made it home safely.

This is the Lego store at the Mall of America. These pictures don't do it justice. These things were pretty cool...but the store was closed, so this is all I was able to see.

This is the amusement park inside the mall. Some of the rides looked really fun to ride. We didn't ride any though.

I really took this picture for my boss. She LOVES Peeps. This is also where the Easter Bunny was.

This is some of the 'art' in the art park. I don't remember the name of it. It was something like two x's with pillars.

This is a giant spoon with a cherry on it. I have seen this picture somewhere else before, so it was neat to see it in person.

This was another piece of art. It's glass that you can see the other side of, but then it acts like a mirror too, So, here is a picture of me and Alex.

This picture is at the bridge thing on the Mississippi. Alex pointed to the 'Pillsbury' sign and I responded with, "its a good thing that the Gold Medal Flour is right across the river so they have flour to use" and then Alex pointed out that the rest of the sign said, 'Pillsbury's Best Flour'. Yeah, I felt stupid. As we were leaving, we read a plaque that said that this location housed 25 different flour pants. Pretty neat.

These are my sea shells Alex found for me.

I didn't really take too many pictures. I had a good trip. It was hard to leave, but it is what it is. I don't know if I will be going back there either. The night I left Alex sent me some texts saying that it would be easier and cheaper just to give up on this relationship, but that he didn't want to give up and he wanted to make it work, I ignored those texts because I could have taken them a few ways...good and bad. Well on Saturday I had a little breakdown and told him it was just going to be easier just to give up. The distance is rough. If we do end up seeing each other again, it is going to be expensive and its something that has to be planned out. Anyway, so I told him that and then my emotions set in and I realized how stupid it was. So, later I told him it wasn't easier just to give up. As it turns out, it was much harder. So, that is where it is right now...as in I don't know. I don't know if he will ever talk to me again or if we will ever see each other again.

What Makes a Sad Girl Happy?

Going to a baseball game with some good friends:) Friday was a rough day for me. There are a number of factors that play into this, one of which was that the previous morning I woke up at 3 am to finish a paper that needed to get done. I am pretty sure I did it wrong. Another factor is that I have three other papers due in the next week. These papers are all about 10 pages. I should be working on these papers, but I cant seem to find the desire to work on them.  I kind of hate life right now, and by kind of, I mean really. I cant wait until school is out and I can go on my one day trips to California to lay on the beach and sleep:) This semester has been a rough one, but I am almost done. I have not decided yet if I am going to go back to school in the fall or not. If I do, it won't be full time again. I sure wish someone would just tell me what I needed to do with my life. I don't like having to make choices in my life anymore. Its not fun.  Anyway,  on Friday night I went to the Bees game. It was their home-opener game. It was fun. They won. They also had their firework show...which never disappoints. I'm glad that I went and that I had a good time:)

Our seats were not the best, but that was partially my fault. I get discount tickets from work, so I followed the link they gave me and apparently I bought tickets for Saturday night in the wheelchair accessible section. I didn't know...I just paid for the tickets the computer gave me. Anyway, we took care of it and enjoyed the game.

They have three people race in food around the field. As always, it was very entertaining. This picture was taken with my cell phone, so you really cant see the food running, but if you look close you can see a pizza and an ice cream cone. I don't see the hot dog...but the hot dog won.

Because the Bees won, everyone got some taffy. It didn't taste too great.

After the game, we went to Denny's for pancakes. They now let you make your own. It was delicious. It was a great Friday night:)
