Monster Trucks, ESA 2014

Well, it is monster truck season again! World Finals is only a few weeks away! Here are some pictures of monster trucks at the Energy Solutions Arena is Salt Lake. I was able to take my nephew to one show and then go with my cousin and his daughter to the other show. Both shows were awesome. Sunday afternoon was definitely the best of the two shows I went to.

Maverick Monster Trakker caught on fire. The advance auto parts guys took a minute to put the flame out. I am pretty sure people were telling them to 'pull the pin' off the fire extinguisher. Everything worked out the way it needed too and everyone was safe.

Here I am with my nephew Cody and Linsey Weenk. He is my new favorite:) I will be cheering for him in Vegas for sure! I am pretty sure I have a little crush on him.

On Saturday, since I bought pit passes, we had crappy seats. We were in the second row in the upper bowel. Its a good thing I didn't spend too much money on seats because my nephew fell asleep!

Grave Digger wrecked. Poor guy got out of his truck and went to the mic like he won...but he lost. Well, that was just my perception of if. I thought it was kinda awkward. He should have won though...I mean, he wrecked at the very last second!

No, usually the wheelie competition is that great..but Iron Outlaw WALKED ACROSS THE CARS!! I have NEVER seen this before. It was pretty bad ass.

Good ol Linsey in the Lucas Oil Crusader. His truck broke on Friday night, but was given the engine from Captains Curse that they got from Grave Digger a few weeks ago. Awe, that is sweet.

Bounty Hunter also caught on fire...well, a little bit. This was after the truck was parked. He sure put on a good show!

Racing! Bounty Hunter won all the racing...at least from what I remember.

You can't ever go to a monster truck show without seeing a donut! (I don't know the correct term or how to spell this, don't judge). Anyway, they are cool.

I told my nephew that he had to show me how excited he was...and this is how he showed me...by smiling SUPER cheesy. haha, what a kid.\\

Oh, just a little rivalry.....

Random

Here are some random pictures.

Hunter likes to sit on Brutus. What do you think we do when Hunter does this? That’s right, we call Brutus so Hunter falls off. He has fun though.

Every year we do an awesome garden. This carrot came from our garden. It was huge…and deformed.

I was watching Chad and Jeni’s kids one day. Hunter kept trying to spill his drink of the ground. I got mad at him…and then he wouldn't look at me.

Seriously…if you park your car this close to someone…you should either back up so they don’t know…or find another spot! I don’t remember hitting them….so I am sure it wasn't me. I wasn't too happy wen I found my car like this…PLUS...they are over the line.

And, of course, I have to put pictures of my dog up. He is cute.

My friend sent me a recipe for some cake…I made it. You cant tell, but its red-velvet cheese cake. I was pretty proud of myself.

Halloween

Sure, I can post about Halloween in February. Why not? I hate holidays...but this was a good one, only because I won a pumpkin carving contest! (I think that I have already posted these....)

I made my Halloween fingers and I dressed up like a spider. My dog was supposed to dress up like a spider...and then he just ate his costume.

Art Work

I have no artistic talents. I don't draw. I don't color. But, I do know other people that are artistic...and they color or draw for me, whether it is a death threat, an encouraging picture, or a story.

We all know that I love monster trucks. Now, most people like to make fun of me for this little hobby of mine. Anyway, at work we have guest tellers. I had a guest teller draw this for me in support of my little addiction:) It was nice of her.

We have another guest teller....he is not so nice. He thinks its funny to mess with my things at work. He likes to put sticky notes all over my computer and hide my things. Well...one day he left me this little threat. I know it doesn't mean anything...but I am sure its not normal...

This art is pretty awesome though! My niece is very creative and very artistic. When my brother's girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer, we all tried to support her. Before she went in for her double mastectomy, she got pneumonia. This was her 'get-well' card from Madison. This picture is so detailed....that it tells a story, so, enjoy!
