August Monster Trucks
In the summer, we usually go through monster truck withdraws. After March, we don't see monster trucks until August at Rocky Mountain Raceway. We go with a lot of our family members. Aunts, cousins, siblings, 2nd cousins, and whoever else wants to go. It sure is fun. We usually dress up. So, we went as red-necks as usual, but with awesome glasses this time.
This is my cousin Jenny, Aunt Karen, Cousin Kylee, and some of our family in the background.
And, this is the finish line. The orange one truck...unless this is only the first lap..in that case, I don't know. They usually do two laps around. So, lets just pretend this is the second lap.
Freestyle. We call this truck 'the other brother'. Our first year at Monster Jam, we met these twins that race. This is one of the brothers racing. They were both there. I think this truck is called "Double Trouble".
Bounty Hunter. This is probably one of my favorite trucks. I just LOVE it. It is probably because I saw him once at ESA and his comments were funny...but it wasn't Jimmy driving, it was someone else. SO...I just like the truck even though I know the drivers are different.
I just thought Gray looked SO cute! Haha..he is just a little bad-A.
Me and my sister. I know, we are neat. Don't judge.
The moon was super cool...and by moon...I mean SUN. There was a fire in Tooele.
The body of the Big Foot trucks were bad ass. I really liked them. Here they are starting the race.
We sit where the trucks make their turn. It get pretty intense because you think that you might get hit by a truck...but we don't.
Yup, the orange truck won.

Free style air. Yeah buddy.
Now, this jump is tricky. This truck obviously made it over the jump. However, most of the other trucks thought they would take the jump from the other side. Well..the first truck (one of the brothers) took it and his truck got stuck. BUT, after some stuff, he was able to get free and finish the race. Well, apparently this means that men and their testosterone need to show other men that their trucks can make the jump. So, Maverick Monster Trakker tried...and failed. They had to get the tractor for him (I think) and one more truck maybe two tried this SAME JUMP THAT EVERYONE ELSE WAS GETTING STUCK ON AND THEY WOULD GET STUCK!! So, free style this year was lame. No one lost their tires, no one caught fire, no on popped tires, and no one crashed. They just got stuck on this stupid jump. Lame.
But, really, it was fun. AND, luckily for me, I was able to ride a monster truck the night before at the Salt Lake County fair because the ride truck couldn't make this even.
Cabin TIme
I love going to Shelby's cabin. We were supposed to go to Disneyland..but that didn't happen...so we went to her cabin. As always, it was fun,
We saw this boat. This has to be my favorite boat name I have ever seen. And, better yet, the boat is from Herriman. So, maybe I live by them.
This year I thought it would be fun to go fishing. So, I bought a fishing liscence and brought a pole. Now...I don't fish...so I didn't really know what to do. And, to my surprise...I ACTUALLY CAUGHT A FISH. Well, if you want to see a picture of my fish...you wont. Shelby and I started to scream and then the fish fell off the hook and Shelby's first reaction was to throw the fish back in the water. So, I don't have a picture, but I do have a fish story. Her dad came one day with us too with their dog.
This is the view from our ride. This place is SO pretty. I LOVE going up here. It is so peaceful and quiet. I don't have anything to worry about while I am there:)

On our 4-wheeler ride, we found some bones...and then we found some more bones. So, basically we found a whole animal. It was gross. I am not the kind of girl that likes to see that kind of stuff...but that didn't keep me from taking a picture...

Brutus and Dogs
My dog sure does make me angry, but I sure love him.
H likes to sleep...on my bed. So, I am constantly washing MY bedding. I hope that when it gets cold, he wont shed as much. This other picture is of some pallets that we had taken apart to put on a wall as an accent wall. It has been a lot of work..but its looking good. Brutus was just there..so I added him in the picture.

28
So, I turned 28. This depresses me a bit because I feel SO old and like I haven't accomplished anything in my life. Oh well. So, I came home from school and on the fridge in the garage was this sign. Now, if you have been to my house, you know our garage is HUGE! I mean, five car huge...but for some reason, only one car parks in the garage. One part has a pool table, on part has my dad's work table and some 4-wheelers, one part had a camping trailer, and then my sister usually parks in the garage. So, this was her present to me. Haha...it was cute.
Fizz Fest
I work in the community of Day Break. They had a HUGE thing called FIZZ FEST where they had bands come, food trucks, and just things to attract people into Soda Row of Daybreak. Well...it would have been a big even...but then it rained. I took my nephew and niece and we had fun. And, by we...I mean, they had fun.
There was a dentist there and they had the play dough thing that the kids were able to play with. They had fun. Then, when it was time to go outside..even though it was still raining...the kids played on the splash pad and then they FROZE. So, we got in the car, turned on the heater, and went and bought pizza. I must say, I am a good aunt:)
The kids got their faces painted. When the lady asked Gray about it, he said, "is it free" She told him it was, So, after, I told him to give her a dollar (that I gave him on the way over) and he said, "But I thought you said it was free". Haha, smart kid. So, I ended up giving her a dollar for him.

Luke Bryan
So, my brother's girlfriend asks me if i wan to buy five Luke Bryan tickets. I say, sure and I invite my sister, my aunt, my cousin, and my friend Shelby. We were all SO excited. So, we go to the concert...and I guess our tickets were cancelled. This is NOT something you want to hear. We didn't know what to do and the girl with the tickets didn't either, so she let us in and told us to walk around and go the the exit, and then go to the ticket booth. Well...since she let us in..my aunt and my cousin said 'screw it' we are in. They really had to talk to me about this because even though we bough tickets...our tickets were not valid...so essentially, we 'snuck in'. So, we tell people the concert was sold out....plus five. Woops. Plus, the concert was sold out AND tickets were going for $300 on KSL. Either way, I had SO much fun. I danced and I sang. It was AWESOME!!!
My aunt made friends with all the kids around us.Haha...she was a BLAST. She kept pulling out her DoteRRA oils and telling everyone that the oils were as good as drugs, but they were not drugs. Haha...she was definitely the life of the party!
The parking lot was nuts after. We didn't move for over an hour! The concert was SO fun. I am glad that I followed my family in to the concert. I felt like I was able to 'let go' and just have fun and not worry about life. SO...thanks LUKE!

What do you do?
What do I do when I decide not to go to school? I decide to blog:) Yes, it has been a while. So, maybe a dating update since I have decided to stop dating...one again.
1. I had a boyfriend for a minute. His name was Bryan. He was really fun. Our first three dates were super great. I had SUCH a good time with him...and then things got serious. He wanted to get married...like right then. I liked him..but I was not ready for marriage...at all. Plus, his idea on some things were a little off, but I won't discuss them here. Anyway, after we broke up, I realized that I don't have time to date. With work, school, my family, and Brutus, I just don't have time....so boys from my past decided to text me. Ugh
2. I hadn't talked to the boy in St George for four or five months. Well, we are kinda talking again. He has moved to Cedar and is in a band that was just picked up by Pabst and will be be going on tour. Anyway, we have just started talking...nothing too serious or anything.
3. Then, my monster truck boyfriend sent me a text asking if I deleted his number. Haha..of course I did...but when I got a new phone, it brought over all my old contacts. So, I had his number again. Anyway, he said he had tried to be my friend and that he knows it is hard to be friends after you have dated. So, we have texted here and there. He sure is a funny kid. I enjoy talking to him. I also feel like he flirts now more than ever...so I guess we will see.
4. Then, I also got a text from a previous friend and he said that he had avoided drinking for two months because he didn't want 'this' to happen. Then, he told me, "I wish we would have hooked up and then my life would be honky dory." Yup, I mean, what do I say to that?
So, I have given up on dating, but I guess I still have a few options open if I want them. With how my life is going now though....I don't plan on dating. I am just getting too old for it right now....

Dating....or lack there of
So, in one of my earlier posts, I talked about how much I hate holidays because it is a constant reminder that I am single. I have no prospects. The dating world is kinda bleak. I know people think I may 'date' a lot. BUT, as I thought about it this weekend, I have realized that I have been asked out by a boy in person only five times my whole life.
1. I got asked to Prom my senior year. Mind you that this was the first dance I was EVER asked too.
2. I was asked out by a guy in my college apartment. It was a ward activity where you had to bring someone in the ward. My date was in charge of it...so I didn't even see him.
3. Then, there was a guy named Nahinu from my college ward. We went out, but I didn't think he was interested in me. We did go out a few times. I didn't think it was anything until my roommate (trying to console me) told he that he said that "Megan isn't the kind of girl you date to date, but the kind of girl you date to marry". Oh, that is sweet...but then he added something like "but her weight would get in the way" So..he didn't want to date me because I am fat. Ugh.
4. I went out with this guy named Neil. He was nice and attractive. The date was at a BYU event. It was kinda weird...and it got even weirder when boy #3 showed up and became part of the date. Then, the next day at church, he made sure that guy #4 knew he liked me. Kinda awkward.
5. Then, there was a quadriplegic guy. He was funny. We went to Salt Lake. The sidewalk was closed, so he asked me to walk in the road so if a car came, it would hit me and not him. Yup, true story.
So, other than that...I have dated guys from online and a few blind dates. Nothing that has stuck. Dating is very discouraging, especially when you are 'fat'. I told this to a guy once I was meeting online and he sent me the picture below. He makes a good point...but unfortunately, boys/men don't think like this.
SO, in the mean time, I will keep these two saying in mind. That I will have to date a lot of guys, meet some guys that suck and break my heart, but when I find the one, I will not even think of the guys from my past that I didn't mean anything too.
Just Random Things
Well, this is what you get when you ask a three year old to paint your toe nails...you get your toe nails, toes, and your feet painted. haha...bless her heart. Oh, and there is Brutus. He loves me...and I love him sometimes..but not when he gets diarrhea and I have to pay the vet $93 for a vet visit and medicine and then am told he is just stressed from getting boarded. Ugh.
Brutus loves his cousins Hank and Jake. What he doesn't like is that all they do is hump him. I don't like that very much either. But, I take him over there anyway. They are just dogs.
You know, I have loved boys before, but there was this one boy that I really loved. We ended things because 'logistically our relationship wouldn't work". I had a really hard time getting over him. In fact, I don't know if I am really over him even though it has been a year. So, he lives in Minnesota...well...he moved..so I think in one of the Dakota states now. Anyway, even though we don't talk and I don't see him...I get constant reminders of him...like seeing this guy getting out of his truck in a 'Minnesota Wrestling' truck. I didn't think anything of it...until I looked at the truck. Yeah, he is from Minnesota. talk about a double whammy. Ugh.
